VARIANT / DANIELLE DONAHUE

Danielle Donahue is a self taught artist from Orem, UT. Her work often conveys a unique juxtaposition of chaos and beauty while using mediums such as acrylic, oil, charcoal and ink. “Taking something that is normally considered ‘pretty’ and making it messy or adding humor to it is my way of celebrating the perpetually unique. There’s immense joy to be found in the imperfections and the unexpected.” She is heavily influenced by street art and draws inspiration from the overlapping textures of art being painted over repeatedly and weathered and broken down over time.
